this buck came in 30 minutes after 4 does blazed by. i invited my neighbor, Billy, who had never been in the woods let alone ran a camera in a treestand. he was positioned in a ladder stand 11 foot up in the air 12 feet away from my tree behind me from where the normal direction of where the deer come from. this buck came from the side of us exposing both billy and i to him with not much cover at all. i am 27 foot up and in my gorilla climbing stand. the 8 pointer stood in the same position forever when he obviously busted the smell of my partners cigarettes and the fact that he was only camo from the waist up wearing bright white shoes. the fact that this deer stayed in the seen for as long as he did is amazing. it is also sweet how he is blowing steam and dripping saliva definetly in full rut. 5 minutes before he showed up i had grunted.. after making my heart jump out of my chest for 7 and a half minutes he is finally ready to go look elsewhere for other does when he gets smoked at 32 yards out and even gives a goodbye grunt for the camera . needless to say Billy is now hooked on going out in the woods and will never forget his first hunt that i was lucky enough to make happen.
